The Slow Dream Tour
Matchbox 20 are coming back to Australia after a decade away with the Slow Dream Tour to show us their new music from the latest album “Where The Light Goes”. The tour starts in Perth with a generous number of concerts in the major cities as well as Wollongong, Newcastle and the Gold Coast.

Matchbox Twenty is an American rock band that formed in 1995 in Orlando, Florida. The band consists of lead vocalist Rob Thomas, rhythm guitarist Kyle Cook, lead guitarist Paul Doucette, and bassist Brian Yale. They gained significant commercial success in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their blend of alternative rock and pop.
Matchbox Twenty released their debut album, “Yourself or Someone Like You,” in 1996. It became a huge hit, selling over 12 million copies in the United States alone. The album spawned several popular singles, including “Push,” “3AM,” and “Real World,” which helped establish the band’s presence in the mainstream music scene.
Their second studio album, “Mad Season,” was released in 2000 and also achieved commercial success. It featured hit singles such as “Bent” and “If You’re Gone,” solidifying the band’s status as one of the leading rock acts of that time.
In 2002, Matchbox Twenty released their third album, “More Than You Think You Are.” This album produced the singles “Disease” and “Unwell.” Their fourth studio album, “Exile on Mainstream,” was released in 2007 and featured a compilation of their greatest hits along with a few new tracks.
After a hiatus, the band returned in 2012 with their fifth studio album, “North.” It reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart and included the hit single “She’s So Mean.” The album showcased a slightly more pop-oriented sound while maintaining their rock roots.
